STAFFORDSHIRE PORTABLE GROUP 

This group was formed with the intention of operating portable from various locations within the UK as is practical.

One temporary QTH we use, has now become a very firm favourite within the group, It’s a big caravan that is situated in a very large field, with more than enough room to erect aerials in many different variations.

The radio equipment  we  use mainly is the Icom Pro 3, the Icom 2820 for VHF/UHF and ‘D’ Star. We also use the Yeasu FT897D for operating on the DIGI  MODES

When out on our portable ops, we try to work as many bands as possible. Listen out for us sometime, all contacts will be acknowledged via EQSL.
