Members of the Staffordshire portable group have all so become members of a new
club in Stafford called Riverway Amateur Radio Society

RARS launch project X
in june 2011, RARS launched a major
initiative
to improve the radio operating and educational/training facilities at its
meeting venue. The project includes several fitted out operating rooms, a
training room, a 60ft aerial mast and efficient aerials to cover the HF - UHF
frequencies.
It is hope to eventually provide training for the Foundation, Intermediate and
Advanced level licence as well as operation of the radio station at member home
locations via Internet Remote Base operation.
